Essential tips
- The blocking trap: force a block position when you have the fewest pips — this wins the round
- Play doubles first — they can only be matched on one number and become deadweight if the number closes
- When you pass on a number, your opponent knows you don't have that number — use this to mislead
- In team play: playing your strongest number first tells your partner to support that number
- Count how many tiles of each number are still unplayed — 7 tiles of each suit exist in a double-6 set
- Watch which numbers your opponent avoids playing to — those are likely the numbers they lack
