Texas Hold'em is the world's most popular poker variant. Here's everything you need to know to start playing.

Setup

Each player is dealt 2 private hole cards. 5 community cards are dealt face-up in the center and shared by all players. The small blind and big blind post forced bets before cards are dealt.

Betting Rounds

Pre-flop: After hole cards are dealt, players bet clockwise from the big blind. Options: fold, call, or raise.
Flop: 3 community cards revealed. Bet from left of dealer button.
Turn: 4th community card revealed. Another betting round.
River: 5th and final community card. Final betting round then showdown.

Hand Rankings (High to Low)

Royal Flush → Straight Flush → Four of a Kind → Full House → Flush → Straight → Three of a Kind → Two Pair → One Pair → High Card. The best 5-card hand from your 2 hole cards + 5 community cards wins the pot.
