Essential tips
- When you roll a 6 and already have tokens out, calculate carefully — sometimes entering a new token beats advancing an existing one
- Chain captures: position multiple tokens so that capturing with one puts another token in capture range
- Blocking: position two tokens on the same square to form a 'block' — opponents can't pass (in some rule sets)
- Race position awareness: count how many turns each opponent needs to finish — this tells you how aggressively to play
- Protect your leader: your most advanced token is the most valuable — don't sacrifice it for a minor capture
- Use the 6-bonus roll wisely: sometimes rolling 6 and entering a new piece is better than advancing a piece 6 squares into danger
